Summertime Home Interior Renovations and Remodels

This summer, you may be considering a home renovation project to update some of those older spaces or perhaps even an addition, which would allow you to have a home that fits your lifestyle and offers additional space for family gatherings.

Summer is the perfect time to consider a renovation as the temperature heats up and the daylight hours are the longest, so you can enjoy the outdoors with your family.

  • Remodeling can be hard on your family, especially a kitchen renovation. Being without a sink and appliances and eating out costs money. All of this can be avoided when you remodel during the summer by spending time outdoors and planning to grill.
  • Schedules open up as school lets out and activities come to an end, giving you more time to meet with contractors and designers with ease. Vacation can also create ease during a home remodel, returning home with a beautiful space for you and your loved ones to enjoy.
  • Summer is full of bright days to ensure you are making the right choice with your countertop, cabinetry, and paint selections, taking advantage of all the natural light.
  • Opening up windows and doors during a renovation will help with the ventilation of dust and odors.
  • The sooner you start your remodeling project, the better! Summer is a great time to start a remodeling project to be sure it is completed in time to celebrate the holidays in the fall and winter!

Project Spotlight: From Conception to Construction

This three-season room addition was designed for entertaining family and friends. The design provided a large dining area, took advantage of the peaceful view, and maintained the natural light coming into the kitchen as much as possible. A patio space was added to provide a comfortable space for outdoor seating and an area for the grill.

Computer-aided design, commonly known as CAD, creates 2D drawings that help designers, carpenters, and most importantly, the homeowners to visualize a space before it is constructed. It also enables the development, modification, and optimization of the design process.

Design Feature:
Timeless Tile Layout

Tile is a great way to introduce a pattern into a space, especially a bathroom, kitchen, or bar area.

Tile offers a stylish, textural alternative to paint, and tiled accent walls can completely transform a room by adding bold color and added dimension. Accent walls can serve as a focal point or as a backdrop that highlights an individual element.

With all the colors, patterns, and materials these days, the possibilities are limitless.
