What are the owners of the business like?
Meridian Construction has been providing quality renovation and remodeling services in our community since 1989. For over 25 years, Mick and Larry Giannone have built a strong and reliable team of professional and skilled crafts people.
Mick and Larry Giannone are committed to continuing education through the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and Remodelers Advantage Roundtables. Remodelers Advantage Roundtables is a peer group and learning community where top remodeling companies work together to share best practices and improve their companies.
They have a combined 54-year history of working in residential and commercial construction. Between them, Larry and Mick have experienced every kind of remodeling challenge. Nearly 80% of their business is either by referral or repeat customers. Both Larry and Mick feel that this is due to their integrity and workmanship. As brothers and co-owners of the company, each has a sense of responsibility and loyalty to their clients, employees, partners and each other.
MICK GIANNONE, Co-Owner & General Manager
A fourth-generation carpenter, Mick founded Meridian Construction in 1989. He enjoys working with the field carpenters, teaching and mentoring them into qualified craftsmen. He is a member of the National Association of Remodeling Industry and Remodeler’s Advantage Roundtables. When he isn’t at the office, Mick enjoys antiquing and fishing.
LARRY GIANNONE, CR, Co-Owner & Project Developer
Larry started working at Meridian with his brother Mick when he was a teenager, over 30 years ago. What he enjoys most is seeing how well everyone at Meridian works together as a team focused on customer satisfaction. Larry is a Certified Remodeler with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, as well as a long-standing member of both the National Kitchen and Bath Association, and Remodeler’s Advantage Roundtables. In his free time, Larry can be found boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.
Austin is an invaluable asset to the Meridian team. His favorite part of the job is solving “unsolvable” problems. He has worked in the construction industry for about 10 years. Austin is certified with: National Occupational Competency Testing Institute, ISO 9001, OSHA General Industry Safety, and will be adding New York Institute of Art and Design, and Associate Kitchen and Bath Certification to his resume soon! Austin loves working on cars and spending time with his wife and puppies.
Lauren really enjoys helping homeowners discover their own design style and recognizing their home’s potential. Her personal aesthetic could be described as Scandinavian Farmhouse. She graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design. When Lauren’s not at work, she can be found at the dog park with her puppy, Jeter.
MARTHA, Office Manager
Martha’s favorite part of her job is that she gets to use both her logical and creative sides—when she isn’t analyzing her methodical spreadsheets, she is using her artsy eye to create our marketing materials. Martha graduated from Moravian College in 2012 with bachelor’s degrees in English and Business Management, and has a passion for anything creative. When she’s not elbow-deep in an art project, Martha can be found cheering on her son at his football games.
Gail’s favorite part about working at Meridian is that she gets to see her sons, Mick and Larry. She said working gives her purpose, and her coworkers make her smile. She has been bookkeeping for about 25 years. When she isn’t working, Gail can be found doing her needlework or gardening.
MATT, Lead Carpenter
Matt is a true craftsman. Matt was first introduced to Mick and Larry when he was eleven years old when Meridian remodeled his parent’s basement. Matt started working with Meridian as an apprentice in high school, and has since worked his way up to Lead Carpenter. Matt graduated from North Montco Technical Career Center’s Carpentry program. In his free time, Matt enjoys working on and racing cars.
PHIL, Lead Carpenter
Phil’s favorite part of his job is working with homeowners to deliver a beautiful finished product. Phil always has a smile on his face and is up for any challenge. A graduate of North Montco’s Technical Career Center, Phil has been working in construction since high school. When he’s not at work, Phil can be found spending time with his kids, drawing, playing guitar, and playing disc golf.
Justin loves what he does at Meridian—he enjoys seeing a space transform from beginning to end, overcoming challenges, and working with his friends. Justin has been in carpentry since he was only twelve. He enjoys fishing, art, wood burning, and hanging out with his daughter in his free time.
Kevin loves the daily challenges he faces in his line of work, and loves that Meridian is a family-owned business. He first started carpentry work about 10 years ago. When he’s not at work, Kevin can be found at the batting cages or driving range, renovating his own home, or working on cars.
Dave’s favorite thing about working at Meridian is he gets to work with good people, and he becomes close friends with his coworkers. Dave has been in this field for almost 50 years, having built many of the homes in the Bucks/Mont area in the 1970-1990’s. Dave enjoys vintage motorcycles, bowling, fishing, and following drag racing.
